Exciting opportunity for civil engineering interns!
You will be welcomed as a valued contributor to our agile, multi-function engineering consultancy based in Southeast Wisconsin. You will have the opportunity to grow and diversify your experience base by engaging in a wide array of transportation engineering assignments for state, county and local government clients. These may include performing construction observation for transportation projects and assisting with design, analysis, quantity take-offs and project documentation, plan preparation, report writing and research. You will make practical, real-world application of the tools you have accumulated in your engineer’s toolbox to complete assigned tasks within our collegial, team-structured work environment under the supervision of one of our outstanding Senior level engineers.
Who Should Apply?
Minimum requirements for an intern position include:
• Currently enrolled and in pursuit of bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
The highly qualified candidate will have previous experience working as a civil engineering intern, at least two semesters higher education coursework related to civil engineering, and experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Lakeside is looking for a Construction Engineer to fill a current roadway construction inspection need. This role will be physically assigned to one or more construction projects to perform construction inspection or inspection-related tasks and hold both field and office responsibilities. Tasks may include material sampling and testing, completed quantity measurement, evaluation of performance, and project record keeping, including project diaries, material documentation, and item record account.
Primary Job Functions:
This civil engineering role is an opportunity for a candidate who is looking for career advancement. This role will include project leadership under corporate mentorship.
