Exciting opportunity for an entry level civil engineer! 

You will be welcomed as a valued contributor to our agile, multi-function engineering consultancy based in Southeast Wisconsin. You will have the opportunity to grow and diversify your experience base by engaging in a wide array of transportation engineering assignments for state, county, and local government clients. These may include assisting with design, analysis, plan preparation, report writing and research.

You will make practical, real-world application of the tools you have accumulated in your engineer’s toolbox to complete assigned tasks within our collegial, team-structured work environment under the supervision of one of our outstanding Senior level engineers.

Responsibilities of the position may consist of design using AutoCAD/Civil 3D software. Familiarity with WisDOT policies and procedures and knowledge of the WisDOT FDM will be viewed favorably. Duties may be assigned on a temporary basis as needed to meet the workload of the company. This position is expected to be motivated, assertive, accountable, and hold strong relationship building skills. 

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
• Solid communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. 
• Good command of English grammar and spelling. Ability to engage in formal and informal correspondence. 
• Ability to prepare, interpret, and utilize plans, maps, specifications, special provisions, and reports.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and to prepare engineering reports.
• Ability to use and maintain various engineering and      survey tools and equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather      conditions.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite
• Ability to prioritize, handle several projects at a time and be a “self-starter” 
• Ability to occasionally work after business hours and/or weekends.
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with limited supervision.
• Ability to physically perform the essential job functions.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
